What’s In My Hospital Bag

It’s about that time…so I’m sharing what’s in my hospital bag as I prepare for baby girl to make her big debut!

I am writing this post during a global pandemic where 90% of the country is under stay at home orders. Things are different right now than they were when we got pregnant. So my labor & delivery and birth plan have changed a lot. A few weeks ago, spouses weren’t even allowed in the delivery room and I was freaked out I’d be laboring alone and welcoming our baby girl into this strange new world all by myself. Luckily, one support person is now allowed in the room so some of my anxiety has eased. But unfortunately our families still aren’t allowed at the hospital and we don’t know when they’ll be allowed to see the baby.

With a deadly virus spreading around the hospitals, my plan for my hospital bag has changed a lot! Instead of packing a suitcase from home with all of my favorite things, I have decided to bring a bag that I can throw away along with other throw away items. Nothing that goes into the hospital will be coming home with us, except for me, Ryan and baby girl! It’s a different plan than what I had, but it will make for less stress worrying about disinfecting our bag, towels, pillows and clothes!
