What You Really Need With A Newborn

There are so many cute and fun clothes, toys and gadgets! But when it comes to a newborn, there’s only a few things that you really need!

Harlee was born on May 27th, 2020. I wanted her to come home and have everything she needed! Living in NYC, our small apartment barely has a corner for her crib and our bedroom floor has become a makeshift play room. Over the past two months, I’ve really learned what she needs and doesn’t need at this time. I feel like everything we have, we have used, but there were times where I definitely wanted to buy everything!

So today I’m sharing with you what you really need with a newborn (and what you can save for later)!

To be honest, we don’t need much for Harlee in these first few months. She’s spent most of the time in just a diaper because we’re constantly changing her and the skin-to-skin contact during breastfeeding is so important. Also, hello heatwave in NYC. And as for a place to sleep, we’ve been using the bassinet on her stroller right now while she’s so small, so even the crib isn’t being used. So really…just diapers and wipes and diaper rash cream (yes, you need this).

But as the weeks go on, there’s a bit more you need, and somethings you just want.
